REMI NEWS:
Wow, is it time to play catch up? We have been so busy and involved in so many things I have not taken time to get caught up on our news!
God has done so much in our family and our ministry I do not even know where to begin. For over three years we have had our share of struggles and many of you have prayed for our family. We thank you for your prayers because that is what I know has held Jerry and me together and brought our daughter back into our lives after going through some “Job” times. We can certainly understand how Job felt going through all that he did but, Job never gave up on God. Job’s wife tried to get him to curse God and die, but he did not and he prayed for his friends and God brought him through it all. We have kept our focus on God and leaned on Him for help through our trials and to our victories.
We recently made a move to North Carolina to pastor what we call a re-start church “New Life Church of the Nazarene” in Franklin, North Carolina. God is so faithful to us and He really does grant to you the desires of your heart.
A special thanks to our D.S. Dr. J. Mark Barnes for all the prayers and allowing God to use him in finding just the right place for our ministry.
I have wanted to move to the Smokey Mountains for over two years. We have prayed about different offers in ministry from several areas and God sent us right where I had the desire to be. (The desires of your heart)
It is lovely here in the mountains and we have already met some really warm and friendly people. This community is filled with Christian people who reach out and work together in the community to help one another and they certainly have welcomed us with open arms. Not just our church but, the whole community.
Once again Jerry is enjoying being the Shepherd of the flock in his Pastor’s role while I am doing what I love to do and that is sing and lead worship.
I am still able to do concerts, retreats, etc as God opens the door.
Jerry is preaching his heart out and the folks here are very supportive. One lady told Jerry last Sunday, “you preach like there are 5000 people here and there is only 20,” but we see this church filled with people. We all have a vision here and our prayer is to see many souls come to know our Heavenly Father through the blood of Jesus Christ.
For several years we have talked about starting a new church and bringing in the lost and this is just what God is allowing us to do right here in Franklin, North Carolina. We invite you to stop in on a Sunday morning to worship with us.
I still have my company, “Jubilee Music Artists,” and we do scheduling of artists as well as radio promotions. It is a part of our ministry. Please call the radio stations and request some of our music. It is a joy to help others and partner with them in ministry.
One person we are thrilled to partner with and have back in Roach Evangelistic Ministries is our daughter, “Becca.” Becca has grown up in the church and in ministry. She surrendered to the call of God on her life at age 14 and now God has brought her to the place of being able to minister in a way we never thought possible through her strong testimony of being set free from captivity and being controlled. We encourage her in the ministry to go for it and speak what God is showing her.
Becca was recently married to someone she met in 2002 in a revival meeting in Portland, Tn. God put them together in the same church and now they are willing to go where God leads. Ryon is a Chemist and an inspector for SGS company in Wilmington. Ryon also sings some with Becca. They have a burden to help young people in the church as well as others.
Let’s all pray together for our President and our Nation that God will once again be the center of what we were in the beginning.
Blessings,
Barbara Roach
